As our first market in May was cancelled due to the virus outbreak, we wanted to show our support for makers in East Anglia and give them a platform to show what they make and connect with their potential customers. There are a lot of virtual markets happening around the UK at the moment and our purpose is to showcase fabulous makers from across East Anglia. We had a lot of positive feedback from our May virtual market so we wanted to host another market in June!

What is the format for the Maker's Factory Norwich virtual market?

The next Maker’s Factory Norwich virtual market will be on Saturday 6th June.

 

The market will run between 1100 and 1700.

 

We’ll spend between 1100 and 1200 showing you collages of the makers who are participating in this event on our Instagram and Facebook walls and tagging them. Then, between 1200 and 1700, we’ll post a longer post for each maker telling you a little bit about them and showing you their makes across several images. We’ll spread these posts out evenly over the afternoon so makers don’t feel lost in a sea of other makers! 

How do I apply to have a stall?

 

To apply to have a stall at our virtual market, you need to send an email to makersfactorynorwich@hotmail.com.

 

You'll need to include a short description of what your business is called, who you are, what you’ll be selling at this market and how people can purchase your makes or find out more about you (a maximum 250 words please).

You'll need to include up to 9 images of what you’ll be selling at the market. Please try to ensure these images are as high quality as possible to show your makes in the best light.

Is a virtual stall free?

Hosting a market for us is free to do so there isn't a fee for having a virtual market stall with us.

 

We both put a lot of time and effort into organising our virtual markets so we want to give stall holders the option to donate an amount of their choice if they would like. We plan for these donations to go towards our 'real life' markets to help promote it and spread the word far and wide. If you would like to donate, you can do so here. Donations are greatly appreciated by us both.

Are there any criteria for having a virtual stall at your markets?

As our ethos revolves around supporting local makers, we ask that all makers are physically located in East Anglia. This includes Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex.

We ask that makers have an Instagram/Facebook profile or an online shop where we can direct any potential customers during the market.

Applications will close at midday on Friday 29th May. We’re afraid we won’t be able to accept applications after this date as we need a few days to prepare for the market.
